We’ve worked with dogdelivered since conception to develop the brand identity, artwork for packaging and print, and the online presence.
Starting a new business from scratch is hard enough, so dogdelivered partnered with DumDum Digital for all their design, development and marketing. As an online DTC (direct to consumer) subscription service we quickly identified three key priorities: establishing the business’s social persona, creating a fantastic unboxing experience, and providing a frictionless sign-up process.
We started by developing a consistent brand identity for use across digital and print. We decided on two colours that were reversible, contrasted well (crucial for accessibility) and matched the brand’s attitude and voice.
After exploring the market we decided to prioritise two key values for dogdelivered – authenticity and care. These values summed up how important their dogs are to dogdelivered’s customers. dogdelivered has to care as much about their customer’s dogs as their owners do.
To reflect these values we created the Floof & Pooch Pups, using the dogdelivered founder’s own pets as the brand’s mascots.
We built dogdelivered’s website using the Bubble no-code platform. This was the first time we’d used Bubble, but the platform’s API connectors meant we had absolute freedom to use the most powerful features from Stripe and Sendgrid to automate the subscription experience.
We developed a simple packaging design for dogdelivered’s boxes, using only the inside to deliver delight upon opening and unboxing your delivery. Minimising excess packaging was a priority for dogdelivered, so we produced a catch-all message that covered the majority of toys in the box. On the other side of the leaflet dogdelivered created a sequence of poems that help build an emotional connection between the brand and the customer.
We created a full, professional brand in three months, complete with website, bespoke packaging and an automated subscription system.
